Read More… The 2026 Chevrolet Colorado Work Truck is a crew cab pickup that delivers a high-value blend of standard technology, work-ready capability, and practical comfort. Finished in Sterling Gray Metallic with a Black interior, it features a turbocharged 2.7L I4 engine, 8-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive.Buyers in the research phase looking for a dependable and versatile pickup will find the Colorado Work Truck especially appealing. This truck is tailored for those who want essential work features—like a spray-on bedliner and integrated trailer brake controller—paired with daily comfort and technology such as navigation and mobile device integration. Bastrop, TX drivers who balance job site needs with everyday driving will value how the Work Truck seamlessly adapts to both roles, offering convenience and utility for commutes, errands, and hauling tasks alike.Performance in the Colorado Work Truck is defined by its turbocharged 2.7L I4 engine and 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering 310 horsepower for confident acceleration and hauling. The rear-wheel-drive setup ensures smooth, predictable handling whether navigating city streets or handling heavier loads. Real-world driving benefits from the combination of strong engine response and an efficient EPA-estimated 19 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, making it practical for both work and personal use while keeping operating costs manageable.Safety is prioritized with the standard Chevy Safety Assist suite, which actively helps prevent accidents through automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian and bicyclist braking, and lane departure warnings. Auto high-beam headlights improve visibility in changing conditions, while ABS brakes and electronic stability control maintain vehicle control during sudden stops or adverse weather. Multiple airbags provide essential occupant protection, and all these features are included without requiring an upgrade to higher trims.Functionality is further enhanced by the WT Convenience Package II and WT Custom Package, which introduce remote keyless entry, heated door mirrors, split-folding rear seats, and a rear window defroster. The Advanced Trailering Package, complete with an integrated trailer brake controller, gives the truck genuine towing utility out of the box. Additional features such as Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, SiriusXM with 360L, OnStar emergency communication, and steering wheel audio controls ensure that daily driving is both connected and comfortable.Compared to the Ford Ranger XL and Toyota Tacoma SR, the Colorado Work Truck offers more advanced infotainment and safety features as standard equipment. While the Ranger may require extra investment for navigation or trailering capabilities, and the Tacoma often limits advanced safety tech to higher trims, this truck provides these advantages without added cost. For those seeking a straightforward, full-featured truck in this segment, the Colorado Work Truck stands out as a strong value proposition. What are the key features of this vehicle? Standard equipment includes navigation, a spray-on bedliner, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, advanced trailering, and comprehensive active safety features. How does this truck perform in daily driving? The turbocharged engine and 8-speed automatic ensure responsive acceleration and smooth shifts, while fuel efficiency helps control running costs. To experience the 2026 Colorado Work Truck’s balance of value and capability, visit Covert Chevrolet Bastrop at 702 State Hwy 71, Bastrop, TX 78602, or call (512) 308-3161.
